What The Beauty Question is

We cover beauty news, noteworthy launches and desirable products, especially from recognisable and luxury brands, alongside investigations, explainers, culture and opinion. Skin, makeup, fragrance and grown-up glamour all belong here. So do questions about the claims, labels, prices and ideas that make us want them.

Our films follow three main strands. The Science Question explores how products work, what ingredients do, what packaging tells us and what the evidence supports. The Industry Question looks at brands, pricing, marketing, ownership and the business of beauty. The Deeper Question considers beauty standards, ageing, identity, desire and the way we see ourselves.

History still has a place when it helps answer a question that matters today. Across the magazine and channel, the aim is clear explanations, sharp scrutiny and room for wit and visual imagination. Product discovery need not mean taking every promise at face value. Read how we cover beauty.

What The Beauty Question is not

It is not a medical site, a dermatology clinic, a claims lab or a replacement for professional advice. Product coverage should never imply guaranteed results, diagnose a condition or pretend that a product has been personally tested unless that is true.

Ownership and independence

The Beauty Question is an independent editorial project. It may include clearly labelled affiliate links, commercial partnerships or advertising in future, but commercial material will never be hidden inside editorial copy.
